24 Hours Holter Monitoring

A Holter monitor is a battery-operated portable device that measures and records your heart’s electrical activity (ECG) continuously and typically for a duration of 24 hours.

This test is useful for detecting transient rhythm disorders of your heart, which are not detected at the time when an ECG is done. This test is indicated for patients with palpitations, giddiness or fainting spells. By quantifying the amount and type of ECG abnormalities, it will also be able to provide quantitative and qualitative information on the effect of the drug therapy.

This test will also help post procedural patients, especially those who have undergone the electrophysiological studies and radiofrequency ablation, to determine if the procedure was successful.
